NOTIFICATION No.01/J.S.(PER)/2013.
APGENCO is the largest Power Generating Company of Andhra Pradesh State and is
the 3rd largest Power Utility (8924.9 MW) in India and has second highest Hydel capacity in
the Country desires to be the best power utility in the country and one of the best in the world,
invites applications from the eligible candidates for the posts of Security Guards and Fireman,
as indicated below: -

NOTE : -
(i) The detailed notification is placed in the website www.apgenco.gov.in.
(ii) SECURITY GUARDS The nature of duties are to man the vital, sensitive and
vulnerable power plants and to fix proper responsibility in all security aspects of the
power plants, the exit and entry access system for men and material at all gates of the
power plants round the clock on shift basis, proper checking and recording the entries
of incoming and outgoing materials, industrial relations related issues, handling law
and order related problems and to man the gates round the clock situated in different
locations at far of places etc. The Power Generating Stations are declared as hazardous
and nature of duties as enumerated above. Therefore, Male candidates only need to
apply.
(iii) FIREMAN :- The nature of duties are to take precautions against the fire accidents as
Thermal power generating stations are fire prone areas due to the usage of coal and
oils. Firefighting activities consists of controlling the spreading of fire and to save the
lives of employees, officers of APGENCO and to protect the machinery and materials
of the plants during fire accidents. Hence, Male candidates only need to apply.
(iv) PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED candidates need not apply
(v) The vacancies notified are subject to variation based on the necessity and shall be
filled as per the rules in vogue.
v). The written examination will be held at HYDERABAD, WARANGAL
VIJAYAWADA and KURNOOL only.
vi). Physical Efficiency Test will be conducted only at Hyderabad.

user guide and to submit application form. Online
application is accessible from 27.04.2013 to -
25.05.2013.
Land Loosers :- Candidates applying for the posts
under Land Loosers quota shall submit one copy of
online application along with attested copies of
certificates i.e., SSC, ITI (2 years duration course),
Community, Physical Fitness Certificate along with
the records referred in Note (iii) under para-2 of the
notification shall simultaneously be sent by Registered
Post to Joint Secretary (Per), APGENCO, R.No.252,
‘A’ Block, 2nd Floor, Vidyut Soudha, Khairatabad,
Hyderabad – 500 082 for enabling to proceed further.

01/06/2013.
